The Sunshine League is a non-profit organization that was started in 2001 to provide a place for children with special needs to play soccer and socialize with others. As the program has grown and donations have been received we now offer activities that promote cooperation, hand-eye coordination, balance and flexibility.
We have over 30 players of which have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, Autism, Downs Syndrome, visual impairments, ADHD and other disabilities. We have not turned away anyone. We try to adapt as necessary to include every child. We have included children with walkers, braces and wheelchairs. We have several players that have been with us the entire time we’ve been operating.
Participation is free as Sunshine League operates solely on donations.
